Hiway 80 Rescue Mission Ministries has been reaching out and touching lives for over 50 years, and Hope Haven Home for Women and Children has been making an impact for nearly a decade.

     We are commissioned by our Lord to help the poor and needy not only when it is convenient, but when the needs arise. Therefore, in our community of East Texas, we hear the cries of the alcoholics, drug addicts and the battered single women or mothers that do not have an advocate.

     The Bible tells us in Proverbs 16:3 to, "Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans."

     There are exciting events happening at Hiway 80 Rescue Mission, and we are committing them all to the Lord. Our program has grown so much, that we are overflowing in our current buildings. We decided the best course was to build new facilities in three stages.

     Phase one includes the construction of a new chapel, and that is well on its way to being a sound structure. Phase two will include a new dorm for the New Creations Discipleship/Recovery Program, medical and learning centers as well as a library. Phase three will include transitional housing and renovations to our current facilities.

     Friends, it is only through caring people such as you that we are able to offer a home to those in need. Your generosity and prayerful support are tremendously encouraging to all those who come through our doors at Hiway 80 Rescue Mission and Hope Haven Home for Women and Children.

     That we are able to provide for so many people is such a blessing. We provide for the hungry and homeless because our community is so generous. The heart of East Texas has nothing to do with the beauty and wonder of the land. The heart of East Texas beats in the heart of its people. So, for all of you who's heart is called to generosity and kindness, thank you. God Bless you all, and may God guide you as he guides us in our ministry to those in need.
