Our ministry appreciates all that you have done in helping others through your generous prayers, volunteerism, gift in kind and financial support. Without your compassion of reaching out and making a difference in the lives of the least, the lost, and the forgotten our efforts in our community would be futile.

The average age of the men and women that come to Hiway 80 mission and Hope Haven is 38 years, 60% of those we serve are residents from our community. The number one reason for their plight is lack of affordable housing. Please continue to help in making a difference in their lives.

Hope Haven, our Christ-centered ministry for homeless women and their children has been in place for five years, and most of the resident rooms are showing the wear and tear of regular occupancy.

We are in need of you or your group to consider adopting these rooms for remodeling. In this way, you can bring "new life to old rooms" with your own signature. Please contact Hope Haven for more information.

The following are needed on a regular basis:

DAIRY PRODUCTS: Milk, Butter, Cheese, Eggs
FRESH VEGATABLES: Lettuce, Tomatoes, Onions
FRESH FRUIT: Apples, Bananas, Oranges
FRUIT JUICE: Apple, Orange, Grape
BAKERY GOODS: Slice Bread, Biscuits
BREAKFAST FOODS: Cereal, Oatmeal, Bacon

The Hiway 80 Rescue Mission is pleased to inform you of a partnership it has entered into with Kroger Food Stores. We are participants in that organization's Share Card Program, in which 1% of a member's total expenditure toward grocery purchases will be reimbursed to the mission.

Thank you for all you do to help the hurting and homeless in Longview. I appreciate you helping my son who is working toward living independently again.

I think this quote says it all about what you must deal with each day:

"The biggest disease today is not leprosy or tuberculosis, but rather the feeling of being unwanted, uncared for and deserted by everybody. The greatest evil is the lack of love and charity." -Mother Teresa

This is the hope the Mission gives to the poeple at Hiway80 and Hope Haven.

I am a 93 year old widow and have long been interested in Hiway80 Rescue Mission. Back in years when I could participate in our church projects, I was very active in our activities at the mission. I wanted to thank you for the opportunity to share my bit.
